We believe cycling is good for the body and mind and want to increase diversity in cycling whilst also overcoming cultural and social barriers.
Tameside Women’s Community Cycling Group are a friendly group of women of all ages and experience wanting to help empower women through cycling.
Whether you are new to cycling or rediscovering the joy of riding a bike; a complete beginner or just a little bit out of practice; why not come along to one of our free women-only sessions!
TWCCG are not like other cycling clubs and we have all the patience in the world to help get you in the saddle, either for the first time or to just help you learn to ride with more confidence and brush up on your cycling skills.
We offer group rides, learn-to-ride beginner sessions and bike maintenance courses with the aim of promoting women’s cycling in Tameside, Greater Manchester and throughout the North West – and helping get more women on bikes.
We now offer a Bike Library service in partnership with TfGM offering FREE bike and helmet loans!
We are affiliated with Cycling UK and are based out of King George V Playing Fields in Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside.
Women from across Greater Manchester have attended our cycling confidence sessions, including from Oldham, Stockport, Salford and Manchester City Centre.
Please get in touch if you would like to find out more and see details about our sessions on our events page!
