It’s fantastic to be back doing what we love so much after a delayed start to the year!
Apologies for the radio silence, however we have been working quietly in the background and have an exciting range of cycling projects planned for the upcoming months.
Thanks to funding from the Building Stronger Communities Fund from Tameside Council and the Together Fund from Greater Sport/Sport England, this year we’re looking forward to putting on all new events alongside our women-only sessions!
Our first event on Saturday 22nd April is a number of free children’s learn-to-ride sessions called “Scoot & Glide!” for girls and boys who are beginning their cycling journey.
We firmly believe that learning to ride a bike is a rite of passage for all children and that cycling is a skill for life. We are positively excited about this project!
Our second event will be on Sunday 23rd April and will see the return of “On Her Bike!” which is our very popular women’s only learn-to-ride session.
These sessions will be taking place at our new home at King George V Playing Fields in Ashton-under-Lyne and we’re really excited to get going!
More sessions will be announced soon including some at different locations. These will include bike maintenance and social rides – plus all new family events!
Please keep an eye on our events page and social media pages where we will be sharing more information about all upcoming events soon along with links to Eventbrite where you will be able to reserve your free place!
